Snow Clearing: We will take care of clearing the snow from the upper parking area and the parking in front of the house. However, it is the renter's responsibility to clear the steps and a path to the house. There is a shovel on the smaller shed to help you with this.

Parking: We have contracted out snow removal for the upper parking area and the main driveway on the west side of the house. It is at the guests discretion whether to park in the main driveway as the entry hill may be challenging for some cars to exit. If you are unsure, park in the upper parking area roadside.

Please note that the porch around the hot tub can become icy and slippery during winter. We advise exercising caution when using this area and recommend wearing appropriate footwear with good traction.

Wall Furnace Vent: On the lakeside part of the house, there is a metal protrusion from the wall that serves as the vent for the wall furnace. It is essential to keep this vent clear on the exterior side to ensure proper ventilation and heating. Please do not cover or block it with snow or ice.

De-icing salt will be available by the driveway stairs to help you clear the pathway and steps.

Water Systems: please note that due to lower occupancy in the off season the main water will be shut off between guests. Information how to start up the water can be found by clicking here additionally copies of that information can be found in the welcome binder and posted in the cottage.
